Author portrait of T. M. Bird

About the author

T. M. Bird

T. M. Bird grew up on a dairy farm in rural Arkansas and went on to spend twenty years in higher education studying psychology, English literature, data analytics, behavioral economics, public health, and systems engineering. He now spends his days analyzing how AI disrupts established systems, and examines the new systems that attempt to form in its wake.

He likes to say he doesn’t have an agenda, he has a perspective. But at the end of the day, he’s just an overeducated farm boy asking too many questions while trying to make sense of what’s going on.

Perspective

Fiction and nonfiction shaped by systems thinking.

The fiction turns institutional pressure, technological control, identity, coercion, and survival into story. The nonfiction looks directly at power, incentives, public systems, and the structures people live inside whether they notice them or not.
